Library

"A library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life."  - Henry Ward Beecher

We couldn't agree more.  Come visit your local library.  A quiet place to study, relax, work or simply escape in a good book.  It's fun, the old fashioned way. Our library is located inside City Hall at 115 Chatham Street.

The City of Oglethorpe public library is part of the Pines system of Georgia and has a wide variety of books as well as computers for patrons to use. We also have a very active Summer Reading Program for our children!

Our librarian, Glenda Rigby, can be reached at (478)-472-6485 ext 222 or by email rigbyg@bibblib.org or drop in and see us!

Through the Pines system you can also order books, free of charge, and have them delievered to the Oglethorpe library!  To be redirected to the Pines System click here!
