The City of Oglethorpe Work Session Meeting scheduled for January 30, 2025 is rescheduled for February 6, 2025 at 6PM prior to the Regular Council Session.

Public Hearing - HB581

The City of Oglethorpe plans to "opt out" of the House Bill 581 and there will be a Public Hearing on February 6, 2025 at 6PM in the council chambers located at City Hall 115 Chatham Street, Oglethorpe GA. All residents are encouraged to attend. Other meetings will be February 10, 2025 at 10AM and 5PM at the same location.
Veteran's Day Recognition Ceremony

Please join us for the City of Oglethorpe Annual Veteran's Day Recognition Ceremony. Our keynote speaker will be Macon County native, Milton Collier, Retired Veteran and CEO of TranMazon in Montezuma. We will have a catered lunch as well as certificates and gifts for our Veterans. Veterans can pick up a registration form at City Hall (115 Chatham St.) in Oglethorpe or register online below.

Special Called Meeting

The Mayor and Council for the City of Oglethorpe have a requested a Special Called Meeting for the discussion of city contracts for grass cutting and maintenance. The meeting will be held at 6PM October 10, 2024 at City Hall located at 115 Chatham St.
City Hall Closure at 12:00PM September 26, 2024

Due to inclement weather, City Hall will be closing at 12:00PM Thursday the 26th and will re-open on Monday the 30th. The regular council work session will also be cancelled on Thursday as well. Please be safe.
